BFA is intentionally designed for students—and staff—who thrive in a structured, low-distraction, academically focused environment.

We are a strong fit for educators who:

  • Value order, consistency, and clear expectations

  • Want to spend more time teaching and less time managing behavior

  • Appreciate small class sizes and strong relationships

  • Support a traditional, character-based approach to education

We are not the best fit for classrooms that require:

  • Highly flexible or unstructured learning environments

  • Extensive behavioral or therapeutic supports beyond what a typical classroom provides

Our goal is simple: create a school where teachers can teach and students can learn.

Current Job Openings

  • STEM & Elective Teacher

    5 classes + 1 prep period

    Courses include:

    7th Grade Math

    7th & 8th Grade Electives (flexible based on your skills/interests)

    10th & 11th Grade Digital Literacy (NH state requirement)

    Class sizes:

    Core/electives: ~20 students

    Digital Literacy: ~10 students

    Potential role as a 7th-grade advisor

    💰 Salary: $45,000–$55,000 (based on experience/training) + Benefits

  • Humanities & Elective Teacher

    5 classes + 1 prep period

    Courses include:

    7th Grade ELA

    6th Grade Elective (primitive studies/outdoors focus)

    10th Grade Elective (likely culinary)

    11th Grade Entrepreneurship

    11th Grade Career Development (internships, resumes, job readiness)

    Class sizes:

    ELA: ~20 students

    Other courses: ~10 students

    Potential role as a 7th-grade advisor

    💰 Salary: $45,000–$55,000 (based on experience/training) + Benefits

  • Teacher Aide

    Supports 6th-grade teacher across all classes

    Assists other staff during prep periods (priority to 6th grade)

    💰 Salary: $35,000 + Benefits

  • ELA and Civics Teacher

    5 classes + 1 prep period

    Courses include:

    8th Grade ELA

    9th Grade ELA

    10th Grade ELA

    11th Grade ELA

    11th Grade Civics

    Class sizes:

    ELA & Civics: ~20 students

    💰 Salary: $45,000–$55,000 (based on experience/training) + Benefits

⏰ Schedule & Expectations

  • Staff hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Weekly staff meeting: 3:15 – 4:30 PM

  • Participation required in:

    • Parent/teacher conferences

    • Open houses

    • School events (outside normal hours)

  • Paid time off (includes): Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving week, 2 weeks Christmas/New Year break, MLK Day, Presidents Day, February & April breaks (1 week each), and Memorial Day
